Best Tires 215 55r17
Tire reviews.
As with the tires discussed above, Alpin 6 user satisfaction coincides with expert opinion. This model has won several awards and was recommended for this size by Auto, Motor und Sport in 2019.
These are standard on my 2011 Suzuki Kizashi with 215/55R17. It’s fairly quiet and the ride is comfortable, but nothing out of the ordinary if you want to improve the safety of your car. I had to brake hard on dry roads when someone turned in front of me. From 60 km/h, the braking distance is already scary. Soon after, I swapped them out for better tires. (A bit late to comment, it’s 2022, but given the lack of comments I thought I’d add my thoughts.)
For reference, I’m an experienced driver and can drive slightly above the speed limit on good roads and conditions, depending on the situation. I drove about 3000 km and was very satisfied. I drove in the pouring rain and didn’t notice any water skiing (up to 80 km/h). The tires made more noise than my previous tires, but it wasn’t bothersome for me. The tire noise was almost annoying at first, but after 1000-1500 km, the noise became much weaker. When they were new, I measured the tread depth, 8mm. After about 3000 km, the distance is almost 7mm (6.8mm). I am very happy. Before this I had the Nexen Nblue HD Plus and they were very quiet but after about 7-8000km the tread depth was only about 3.5mm. Since these are very cheap tires, I have to say I am very satisfied! Drive only on paved roads.
Tires for winter driving.
I had road grip issues with my old tires, so I bought these. They have demanding road grip and seem to hold up well in late winter, spring and summer. Next year they will try to update the situation throughout the winter. However, there is more road noise than my last set of tires.
Excellent tires. Granted, this year’s winter has been very short. My rating is based on a short trip to the mountains. The tires work well on both dry and wet roads. They also maintain direction in snow and snow and provide good braking performance. They are also very good on icy surfaces. I was prone to driving on icy driveways and others had to wear chains because they slid into place. Also, the tires are very quiet and comfortable to drive. Recommend it – Chris
We’ve had bad weather in Wisconsin, we’ve just been hit by snow, sleet and sleet and of course ice. My Michelin tires just slipped across the road. However, these Pure Contact tires withstood this messy weather with ease. No slips, grips the road like glue. On the highway, these tires are quiet and smooth. I love these tires and will be buying them again for my Nissan Maxima and my wife’s Nissan Rogue.
